Food and Drink Festival Events: A food festival is an event celebrating food or drink to take refreshment. Food festivals and events are focused on a particular item of food, such as the National Peanut Festival in the United States, or the Galway International Oyster Festival in Ireland.

There are also specific beverage festivals, such as the famous Oktoberfest in Germany for beer and another drinking hooch. Many countries hold festivals to celebrate wine.

Festivals celebrated by different cultures and their unique customs add to the diversity of the world's heritage. Some Community Events celebrate the changing of the seasons, such as harvests, rains, and full moons. Others commemorate religious events, such as divine entities', saints', and gurus' (revered instructors') birthdays, or the arrival of the New Year. They may, however, be known by different names or commemorated in different ways in different sections of the country.
